wilsar is a self-described human-friendy artist and photographer living and working in Washington, D.C. her work uses organic shapes found in everyday life, soothing colors, textures, and thoughtful messages that remind us of our humanity. she's constantly inspired by the colors and textures of her home - Sierra Leone.

 

as a war survivor, Wilsar's goal, through her art, is to add peace and calm to an already chaotic world. play and curiosity are at the center of her creative practice, so she's consistently experimenting with a new way to tell familiar stories.
